EHS (Safety) Inspection Team Leader

Job Description

  • Enforce quality assurance as per company and ISO standards.
  • Initiate and issue internal project site observation reports or EHS Violation 
  • Implement project Environmental Health & Safety Plan (EHS Plan)
  • Carry out EHS monthly audit report and issue out to all relevant sites.
  • Conduct EHS training for all project site staff.
  • Carry out weekly quality site walks and prepare observation reports for site team closes out or implementation.
  • Maintaining and controlling all documented quality records in a retrievable manner.
  • Manages and directs site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.
  • Directs the development, facilities, and achievement of goals in support of corporate, regional, and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
  • Determines appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives. Supports the creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture and compliance. 
  • Creates and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
  • Pursues third-party recognition for programs that establish the site and company EHS program as being progressive.
  • Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items, and other pertinent information. 
  • Work with the site leadership team to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

 

Job Requirements

  •  A recognized bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of HR and Administration
  • Good knowledge of labor laws and compliances 
  • Good command of English communication both spoken and written
  • Data analyzing and projecting skills
  • People management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proactive, take initiative, detail-oriented, and able to work fast under pressure
  • Ability to work with multi-level and culturally diversified team dynamics
  • Exhibits honesty, reliability, and a commitment to strict confidentiality
  • Experience in a Construction Company will be an advantage
